Financial support for the band
program received from the school covers the director’s salary
and nothing more. The Bands are entirely
self-supporting. Money to run the band comes from our supporters, through donations and fund
raisers. The costs include the band
instruments and instrument maintenance, uniforms, travel to football
games and competitions and instructor stipends . The total cost per student is approximately $400. This
amount can vary depending if the student is a member of color guard,
jazz band and the percussion ensemble. We never deny a student the
opportunity to pursue their music interests due to financial reason.
Fundraising - There are many fundraising opportunities throughout the year to help raise money for the band. Please see the Fundraising and Volunteers pages to learn more. For any questions or further information, please contact our 2nd Vice President of Fundraising, Vicki Harsch.
