Fireworks! Want to have some fun...and earn money towards your student's fair share? Work at the LCHS PTSO Fireworks Booth. The booth is located next to Chevy's. It is open from June 28th to July 4th. Each day has four shifts. All shifts from June 28th to July 3rd earn the same amount. The first three shifts on July 4th earn a 50% premium, while the final shift earns a 100% premium. The payout is figured on the amount the booth earns minus the expenses of the booth and the fireworks coupons. Signups are here: www.mysignup.com/lchsptsofireworks2012
Don't want to work in the booth but want to earn money? Sell fireworks presale coupons. Each coupon sells for $10.00 and can be redeemed for $10.00 at the fireworks booth. You will earn at least $2.50 towards your student's fair share account. Let Sheron Morris (sheronm@aol.com) know if you want to sell coupons so that she can make arrangements to get them to you.
Memory Books The end of the year is almost here and time for our 2012 Band and Auxiliary Memory Books. Our memory books include photos of events throughout the school year--starting from Band Camp through competitions, Disneyland trip, and also includes annual dedication pages for our Seniors. Only a limited number will be ordered the first time which will include any prepaid-preorders. These books will be available at our Awards Night on May 7th. A limited number of books will be available at our final Pops Concert on May 14th. Books will again be priced at $20.00 per book. Books can also be ordered through CHARMS. Disneyland Trip The Laguna Creek High School Band and Auxiliary spent two fun filled days at the Disneyland Resort. Day one included the band's outstanding stage performance at the Carnation Plaza Gardens to rave reviews by families and bystanders. This day also included a back stage workshop with a Walt Disney music conductor and live recording session. Day two was topped off with the LCHS Marching Band and Auxiliary leading the Mickey's Soundsational Parade down Main Street. Thank you to all the Parents and Students involved who helped make this trip a wonderful and memorable success. Winter Guard and Winter Percussion The Winter Championships were held on Saturday, March 31. Both the Guard and Percussion placed 3rd in their divisions. We are so proud of all the hard work they put into their shows!
LCHS Band Scrip Program
Have you seen the commercials for dinner for two at Applebees and Chilis?? Did you see the Grand Opening sign for T.G.I. Fridays?? Are you an Amazon addict? If you answer "Yes" to any of these questions, go to the Great Lakes Scrip website www.shopwithscrip.com and set up an account to purchase scrip. You can buy a $25 Applebee's scrip card and get an 8% rebate. Chilil's gives an 11% rebate. T.G.I. Fridays gives a 9% rebate.
